Conde Nast has put up a website to promote the launch of the UK edition of Wired, which arrives in the shops on April 2 with a May cover date.

There’s a digital sample on the site using Ceros page-turning technology and a video with the editor, David Rowan.

BBC Focus, the science and tecdhnology title, which sells just over 70,000 issues a month at £3.60 looks like the target market. Wired will cost £3.90 and the company sees it as a men’s lifestyle title, whereas the US version is regarded as an internet magazine in the UK.

The Guardian has a gallery of covers from its attempt to launch the title in November 1995.
